Detailed Guide To Finding High PR Websites
I’ve been buying high PR expired domains for the last 2 years, and thought I would write this post to outline exactly how I go about things. Personally I use the domains to set up networks to rank my own sites and those of my clients.PR measures a web pages authority and is determined by backlinks. Its measured on a numeric scale 1-10, with 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest.

To put the record straight, worrying about improving page rank on a money site is pointless. PR doesn’t increase your traffic and there are no cash prizes handed out by google for achieving high PR.This is of course a different story when buying expired domains. The PR and authority of the domain is crucial. (PR not so much now, there hasn’t been a toolbar PR update in a long time). Why?Because we are going to use that authority by passing it onto our money site by way of a backlink, or for many of you build a new site on the expired domain making use of all the backlink authority it has already gained.

The first thing we need to do is check to see if the PR is fake or not. Many people will say just put the domain into a fake PR checker like Rank Checker, but I like to take things a step further and do some manual analysis. The PR of a domain can easily be manipulated by forwarding it to another URL. Check The Backlinks - I use majestic SEO to provide me with the backlink data for a domain.

A domain simply doesn’t have to have thousands of links to justify its PR. A PR5 could have only a handful of strong links and be perfectly legitimate. Its is worth pointing out that loosing links from a domain with only a handful will have a far greater effect than those with thousands. One of the major problems with buying high PR expired domains is we never know the true page rank until straight after an update (which happens every 3 months or so) This means that seeing a page rank 5 in your toolbar can mean nothing if an update is imminent and the domain has lost all its strong backlinks.

I also use a tool called Instant Domain Sniper Tool which is great for finding decent domains.Instant Domain Sniper is a Adobe Air app (great for both Mac and PC) which finds only the best aged, high PR domains in one single click - and has a secret weapon that even let’s you find them BEFORE they drop! With a cool, slick user interface, the biggest all in one domain database, and innovative functionality that blows any other domain software on the market out of the water.
